We have just delivered a suction wall with water curtain filtration made entirely of stainless steel. The suction wall consists of a water cascade and a series of water cones (acting as first and second filtration respectively) and is equipped with a water recirculation tank, a filter and an above-ground pump.
The suction part guarantees air suction at a speed of 0.5 m/s and will be integrated into a non-stop in-line liquid coating system, which is why it was made entirely to measure.
Composition of the water curtain suction wall
The water curtain suction wall is made entirely of modular panels, consisting of galvanised sheet metal and high-grade stainless steel, in order to prevent any corrosion caused by water.
The lower tank of the booth, a sealed monobloc type made entirely of stainless steel, makes the structure particularly solid and compact. The high tank capacity also reduces downtime due to water changes.
The filtering system of the suction wall
The suction wall adopts the following filtration system whereby the suctioned air:
- passes through the first water curtain which impurities are deposited on (first filtration);
- passes through two layers of water cones atomised by self-cleaning nozzles inside the cabin;
- passes through a battery of droplet separators that eliminate the last residues;
- Finally, before being expelled, the air passes through finisher filters mounted on the roof of the cabin.
A large electric pump ensures closed-circuit water circulation, thus limiting water consumption to a minimum.
The power of the fan engine is specially designed for this type of booth, and thus the high flow rate achieved enables the extraction of all solvents and pigments produced by the paint.
