It’s a phrase that you can hear in the air: “we are the future”. It is exactly what we have seen during the GET TECHNICAL 2023 event created by the Sppot at the end of November in our headquarters in Turin, and mirrors what we saw at the Color Trend Days and Eurobike earlier this year
Certainly, organizing the event was not easy: “difficult, sometimes even crazy” said Darren Bond, foreign sales manager the main person for the organizational aspects, but the feedback we received from the participants made it all worth it.
It is best to GET TECHNICAL ever
It is no coincidence that many have defined it as “the best GET TECHNICAL event ever”, but if this has been possible, the credit was not ours alone, on the contrary.
There are in fact three circumstances that allowed this result to be obtained:

As a company we are constantly engaged in researching new technologies and applying new methods to optimize work processes, and – like us – all the companies involved in the event. It is the figure that indicates the quality of our work, but one thing that is often overlooked is the need to look beyond our own work.

And so, being able to interact with colleagues who have excellence among their priorities proves to be an enriching experience, capable of opening up new scenarios not only in terms of collaboration, but also of open-mindedness.

The Sppot is a unique platform offering cutting-edge solutions for the industrial finishing of bicycles and sporting goods, a partnership of global companies, united under the hallmark of excellence: TIGER Coatings, Berlac AG, WAGNER, Posterama, Lesta and Dutoo Care and Repair System are just some of the companies that participated in the event with their absolute professionalism.
The chance to see the practical side
If there is one thing that is often missing in events of this type, it is the practical side. We talk, we discuss, we try to make people understand through slides or power points, but it is difficult to touch it first hand.
This is why GET TECHNICAL 2023 was different and the demo plant that we equipped with powder and liquid painting booths equipped with Lesta robots and WAGNER paint guns allowed all participants to see the practical application of the finishing process of the bicycle frame, but also to find solutions to some of the most common problems in this process.
Museo Egizio di Torino: the perfect conclusion of a unique event
And if the future was precisely in Turin, what place could symbolically enclose this triple gaze? The dinner at the Egyptian Museum, one of the most evocative places in the world, was the perfect closing of this event: the past from which to draw inspiration, the present of the relationships established in recent days and the future of everything that can arise from GET TECHNICAL 2023.
It is among these incredible works, among these evocative atmospheres, with these far-sighted partners that we can truly say: the future is here, the future is us.
