We are proud to announce that Eurotherm has today been awarded the prestigious EcoVadis Bronze Medal , one of the most internationally recognized corporate sustainability certifications.
While it is true that more and more companies are driven by the need to improve their environmental, social and ethical practices, it is also true that for years Eurotherm has been moving in this direction with strategic and conscious choices.
It is for this reason that this recognition represents for us a significant moment in our journey that certifies all the concrete actions and all the commitment that in these years we have put in place to reduce the environmental impact of our reality, protect human rights and promote a sustainable, transparent and responsible corporate culture.
EcoVadis certification
EcoVadis is the world’s leading provider of corporate sustainability ratings. It is more than just a certification: it is a global standard for sustainable and resilient supply chains . A complex system of ratings that lead to the recognition of corporate sustainability criteria globally.
EcoVadis ‘ analysis considers several key aspects concerning:
- Environment with particular attention to energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and management of natural resources;
- Labor practices and human rights with everything related to employee health and safety, but also health, workers’ rights and inclusion;
- Ethics with particular reference to issues relating to information management, anti-fraud policies and the fight against corruption;
- Sustainable purchasing also considering the environmental and social practices of suppliers.
EcoVadis Bronze Medal : Eurotherm’s results
Eurotherm stood out with excellent scores in all areas analyzed.
Thanks to these results, we officially enter the top 35% of companies evaluated globally , an achievement we are deeply proud of.
In fact, approximately 130,000 companies from 220 sectors and 180 countries participate in the questionnaire every year to complete the complex evaluation process that leads to demonstrating that they have a management system capable of responding to sustainability criteria.
Not a finish line, but a new starting point
The certification obtained is a great source of pride for us and opens the doors to a new phase for Eurotherm which includes:
- Planning of improvement actions , also guided by feedback received through the EcoVadis process ;
- Concrete investments in environmental sustainability, workplace safety and social responsibility;
- Active dialogue with customers, partners and suppliers who share our vision of a healthy, fair and transparent industry.
To further strengthen our commitment, we have also introduced a new figure in the company: Cecilia Capobianco has been the head of the Health, Safety & Environment office of Eurotherm since this year, who will coordinate all initiatives related to environmental sustainability and worker safety.
