The weight of energy can be overwhelming. No, we are not talking about the fluctuations in oil and natural gas prices, nor the dreaded “costs in the bill”.
In this article, we talk about infrastructure.
Compact shot blasting plant for the oil & gas sector
Competitive, essential, aimed at an unpredictable future: the oil & gas sector – which includes the three main energy sources to date, namely electricity, oil and gas – is based on a system of heavy infrastructures.
When an industry needs to perform surface finishing on the elements that contribute to the networks, we are sure of one thing: it will be necessary to move and manage very heavy components.
Shot blasting of oil & gas components
For an important company in the gas&oil sector, Eurotherm has created a decidedly compact cabin. A question arises: how did we manage to match the “heavy” demands of the oil & gas industry with the compactness of our product? In two ways:
- booth with as many as five external stations, which allow you to shotblast directly from the outside,
- customized structure for lifting and handling, implementing a sliding electric hoist with access from the roof of the cabin,
- automation in the loading phase and piece entry into the cabin via wireless remote control,
- cabin flexibility lies in the fact that the system can be adapted according to the spaces available within a small area.
In this way, the “valve” blast cabinet – these are the components to be finished – is compact, efficient and highly integrated into the company.
For the management of the cabin, a PLC with touch-screen panel in 4.0 has been integrated.
