For a major European company specializing in automotive lighting systems , we recently installed a Annealing oven oven designed to ensure maximum efficiency and quality of lens Annealing treatment.
This is an electrically heated oven capable of simultaneously handling 120 pieces , one per basket, treating 1.5 metre long lenses intended for cars with joined rear lights.
Given the length of the piece and to respect the high production rate required by the company, the oven has significant dimensions: 6 metres wide, 3 metres long and 7 metres high .
The process involves a complex path: from the loading phase, the lenses are heated to the set-point for the expected duration, to then reach the forced cooling zone , where they stabilize before being handled by the operators in the unloading phase of the pieces. This oven has been designed for high production rates, with a Takt time of 30 seconds .
Being premium quality lenses, from the moment of loading to the unloading phase, the temperature is kept constant within a range of ±2°C to ensure uniformity and guarantee impeccable performance.
The oven is powered by electricity , a choice aimed at energy efficiency: to reach the maximum temperature of 120°C , only 60 kW are sufficient , which is then reduced during the temperature maintenance phase for the entire duration of operation.
