2026High-Efficiency Paint Curing Oven: The Perfect Solution for Contract Painting Services
Eurotherm designed and built a custom powder coating oven, integrated into an automatic coating line with step-by-step feeding, for an industrial coating company in the province of Venice. This solution was developed for those who require maximum flexibility, energy efficiency, and thermal control when processing large-scale products.
The Challenge: Modernization and Regulatory Compliance
The company had a clear and specific need: to integrate a high-performance curing oven into an automatic painting line, while maintaining perfect synchronization with the step-by-step overhead conveyor. Traditionally, thermal management of large volumes presents challenges related to heat loss and temperature stability. The challenge for our technical team was to engineer an oven capable of simultaneously accommodating four semi-finished products, each up to 9 meters long and 1.3 meters wide, with a maximum weight of 2,000 kg each, while ensuring uniform temperature and perfect insulation of the firing chamber during the line’s handling phases.
The Eurotherm Solution: A Fully Customized Installation
To meet this need, we built a large (7 x 13 meters), high-performance powder coating oven capable of operating at temperatures up to 250°C, fully integrated into the customer’s production workflow.
Technical Specifications of the Project
- Dimensions and load capacity: a 7 x 13-meter firing chamber designed to accommodate large pieces measuring up to 9 meters in length and 1.3 meters in width.
- Rapid-response heating system: equipped with two air-flow burners operating in parallel, configured to ensure a rapid rise in temperature and uniform heat distribution.
- High-efficiency thermal insulation: insulation with a total thickness of 150 mm to minimize energy consumption, reduce thermal inertia, and ensure operational stability up to 250°C.
- Synchronized automatic doors: 2 pneumatically operated sliding doors, controlled by a dedicated PLC that coordinates their opening and closing in perfect synchronization with the step-by-step movement of the overhead conveyor.
