Could Eurotherm have had a hand in this?<\/p>\n<p><em>The answer is yes, but let&#8217;s take a step back.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15685 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/eurotherm.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/tunnel-pretrattamento-multimetal-5.jpg\" alt=\"tunnel per il pretrattamento multimetal di Eurotherm\" width=\"1153\" height=\"740\" title=\"Eurotherm\"><\/p>\n<h2>The players involved in the project<\/h2>\n<p>It all began with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.charentepliage.fr\/\" data-schema-attribute=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Charente Pliage<\/u><\/a>, a company specializing in processing and coating metal components for architecture. The desire is <strong>to speed up processing times without compromising quality<\/strong>, particularly in terms of the products&#8217; resistance to atmospheric agents. Charente Pliage&#8217;s first step was therefore to open a second production facility &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sudouestlaquage.com\/\" data-schema-attribute=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Sud-Ouest Laquage<\/u><\/a>, in New Aquitaine &#8211; equipped with grit blasting, metallization and coating booths, as well as two polymerization ovens.<\/p>\n<p>Then came growth and an increasingly fast-paced market. Sud-Ouest Laquage needs to<strong> speed up the coating preparation phase<\/strong>. The decision is to integrate a tunnel for automatic pre-treatment into the plant.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.industrie-systemes.fr\/\" data-schema-attribute=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Industrie-Syst\u00e8mes<\/u><\/a>, Eurotherm&#8217;s partner since 2010 and supplier to Charente Pliage, contacted us to design and supply the tunnel.<\/p>\n<p>The very last players in the project are the French <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aertech.fr\/\" data-schema-attribute=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Aertech<\/u><\/a>, supplier of chemicals for pre-treatment, and the Italian <a href=\"https:\/\/chemtecitalia.it\/\" data-schema-attribute=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Chemtec<\/u><\/a>, responsible for chemical formulations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15677 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/eurotherm.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/tunnel-pretrattamento-multimetal-3.jpg\" alt=\"tunnel per il pretrattamento multimetal\" width=\"893\" height=\"1054\" title=\"Eurotherm\" srcset=\"https:\/\/eurotherm.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/tunnel-pretrattamento-multimetal-3.jpg 893w, https:\/\/eurotherm.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/tunnel-pretrattamento-multimetal-3-254x300.jpg 254w, https:\/\/eurotherm.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/tunnel-pretrattamento-multimetal-3-768x906.jpg 768w, https:\/\/eurotherm.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/tunnel-pretrattamento-multimetal-3-873x1030.jpg 873w, https:\/\/eurotherm.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/tunnel-pretrattamento-multimetal-3-597x705.jpg 597w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 893px) 100vw, 893px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>A five-stage multi-metal pre-treatment tunnel<\/h2>\n<p>The pre-treatment tunnel would have to handle <strong>parts of different types, shapes, materials and sizes<\/strong> as effectively as possible: in particular, Sud-Ouest Laquage&#8217;s equipment is capable of handling parts with a surface area of up to 4 meters. The products generally require grit blasting or metallization, which give them anti-corrosive protection, however the company was looking for a solution that could also ensure other types of artifacts greater resistance to the aggression of atmospheric agents and corrosion.<\/p>\n<p>The tunnel was studied in collaboration with Industrie-Systemes, and truly is one of a kind. The same system is in fact capable of carrying out 2 different pre-treatment processes, to be selected depending on the material to be treated:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>pre-treatment of steel and galvanized steel<\/strong> involves a phospho-degreasing or alkaline degreasing stage, followed by 3 rinses (2 with mains water and the last one with osmotized water and nanometer conversion).<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>pre-treatment of aluminum<\/strong> includes an initial acid pickling to remove oxides from welding and annealing, followed by the same 3 rinses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Given the presence of different liquids, the tunnel was designed to minimize the risk of contamination between liquids during the different phases.<\/p>\n<p>A final note. Chemtec took care of the liquid formulations based on its PRONORTEC system, a unique nanotechnological conversion that employs the chemistry of organic phosphorus compounds. The coating process can thus achieve the goals set by green and circular economy.<\/li>\n<li>Possibility of <strong>responding more quickly to the demands<\/strong> coming not only from the architectural sector &#8211; the company&#8217;s primary client &#8211; but also from the furniture and carpentry industries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New Aquitaine, South West France.
