New rotary painting plant for small parts

Eurotherm has built a rotary painting system specifically for pretreating and painting pepper mills and salt mills of various and different shapes and sizes, handcrafted from wood by one of the most renowned French companies in the table arts.

Impact

Functional and aesthetic pretreatment

The painting line supplied to the company is designed to paint with a rotary system, but it has a special feature in that there are two very complex wood brushing machines-capable of adjusting, fully automatically, width or oscillation of the brushing treatment, depending on the pieces to be treated.

The working principle of inline brushing is based on the rotary motion of the supports on which workpieces are loaded, combined with the oscillation of the polishers whose task is to remove impurities and correct any surface imperfections.

A line with a high production rate

The rotary liquid painting plant installed in France at the customer’s production facilities provides a cycle of pretreatment, painting, and aesthetic finishing of small wood components composed as follows:

  • Brushing 1
  • Blowing / Ionization
  • Painting primer
  • Drying
  • Brushing 2
  • Blowing / Ionization
  • Intermediate painting
  • Drying
  • Paint finish
  • Final drying
